DONATE THROUGH DONOR ADVISED FUNDS AT COMMUNITY FOUNDATION FOR A GREATER RICHMOND

Log into your Donor Connect portal and select PGA TOUR Charities Inc. for the grant recommendation.
Designate Leadership Metro Richmond in the grant purpose section and follow the prompts to complete the request.
Community Foundation for a greater Richmond will complete the request by mailing the donation check and grant memorandum to the Dominion Energy Charity Classic office.

DONATE REQUIRED MINIMUM DISTRIBUTIONS FROM AN INDIVIDUAL RETIREMENT ACCOUNT (IRA)

* Donors aged 70.5 and older can donate funds from their annual required minimum distribution from an IRA account through Birdies for Charity.

Ask your IRA Fund Manager to issue a check in the desired amount to PGA TOUR Charities Inc. and designate Leadership Metro Richmond in the memo line.

Gifts from your Donor Advised Fund

If you have a Donor Advised Fund, you can designate a gift to LMR to be sent via a check to be mailed or ACH transfer (preferred). Your DAF provider will provide you guidance.

Gifting appreciated stock to LMR offers significant tax benefits for you, the donor, and provides a larger, more impactful donation for LMR. To make a gift of stock please contact Donor Relations at donor-relations@lmronline.org.

Use your IRA to Support LMR

An IRA charitable contribution provides a tax benefit for those over age 70 1/2. Not only does your gift make have an impact on LMR’s mission, it counts toward your required minimum distribution and isn't included in your adjusted gross income. You can transfer up to $100,000 from your IRA, but donations of any amount make a difference in saving, and you incur no tax penalty.
